GoMining launches GoBTC Pay: a new bitcoin-based payment gateway for businesses

Bitcoin price news

The mining ecosystem GoMining has introduced a new product — the GoBTC Pay payment service, designed for businesses to accept bitcoin transactions with automatic conversion into fiat currencies or stablecoins. This solution targets companies working with international clients and aims to transform bitcoin from a long-term storage asset into a full-fledged payment tool.

GoBTC Pay operates on the basis of GoMining's private mempool, built on the Stratum V2 protocol. This allows prioritizing the service's transactions and ensuring an average settlement window of about 12 hours — fast enough for on-chain payments, especially in the context of international transfers. The platform handles all technical infrastructure: transaction processing, settlements, and conversion. Businesses can choose the format for receiving revenue — in bitcoin, stablecoins, or national currencies.

"Satoshi created bitcoin not for it to just sit idle in wallets. It was designed to move value between people," stated the CEO of GoMining, emphasizing the product's philosophy.

Competition and Prospects

The cryptocurrency payments market remains one of the hottest segments of the industry. It sees competition from both specialized crypto processing companies and traditional payment giants adding support for digital assets. GoMining is confident that growing interest in international settlements and the development of bitcoin infrastructure will drive corporate adoption.

Interestingly, this is not the first step in this direction. In October 2025, Jack Dorsey's company Block launched zero-fee bitcoin payments for businesses through the Square service. However, GoBTC Pay relies on its own mining pool and priority transaction processing, which could give it a competitive advantage in speed and reliability of settlements.

My opinion: The launch of GoBTC Pay is a logical step for a mining company seeking to expand its ecosystem beyond block production. However, success will depend on how willing businesses are to pay for on-chain transactions with fees, rather than using cheaper solutions based on the Lightning Network. If GoMining can offer competitive rates and speed, this could become a significant driver for the real-world use of bitcoin in commerce.
