Explosive growth of TradFi on Gate: from zero to $1.5 billion per day — a new era of multi-asset trading

Over the past year, the Gate.com exchange has made a real breakthrough in the segment of traditional asset trading (TradFi). While volumes were virtually zero at the beginning of 2025, on March 23, 2026, the platform recorded a daily peak of $1.5 billion. This is not just a random spike, but the result of systematic work that deserves close attention.

Structure, not size: who is behind the record?

On the peak day, Gate processed a larger volume of traditional assets than Bybit, Bitget, and WOO combined. However, the key point I highlight as an analyst is not so much the scale as the quality of this flow. Platform users behave like experienced macro traders, not random speculators. The data clearly shows a capital rotation model between asset classes.

When stock trading volumes declined, capital did not leave the exchange but flowed into safe-haven assets. Turnover in tokenized precious metals surged by 719%. The accumulated volume for gold (XAU) reached $16.8 billion, and for silver — $16.3 billion. This indicates that traders on Gate use the platform as a single hedge fund, rather than a set of disparate instruments.

Volume leaders: Tesla, Nvidia, and Circle

In the line of tokenized stocks, the undisputed leaders were Tesla (TSLAX) shares with a turnover of $1.68 billion, Nvidia (NVDAX) — $1.06 billion, and Circle (CRCLX) — $1.04 billion. Interestingly, peak activity in stocks coincided precisely with earnings seasons on Wall Street. This is direct evidence that users are guided by real fundamental catalysts, not random market movements.

Seamless integration: a new standard for crypto trading

The main advantage of Gate that I see is the seamless integration of various asset classes within a single ecosystem. A trader can open a long position on Nvidia during earnings season, and then, as uncertainty rises, move into tokenized gold without leaving the platform or turning to a traditional broker. All settlements are conducted in USDT stablecoins, uniting trading in stocks, metals, and oil in a single environment.

While competitors chase raw volumes, Gate has bet on infrastructure for sophisticated traders. This is a strategically sound move that could radically reshape the market landscape, blurring the boundaries between cryptocurrencies and traditional finance.
