AI in the crypto industry: an accelerator, not a replacement for humans — real implementation experience
Artificial intelligence in the crypto industry currently acts as a powerful accelerator but does not become an independent player. Even tasks such as writing code and monitoring exchange APIs remain under human control.
In practice, AI is being implemented in two key areas: content marketing and development acceleration. In the first area, neural networks take on the collection of news and analyst opinions for generating posts, analyzing trends on TikTok, and creating video content. In development, they handle API change monitoring and code writing.
Tools and Trust Boundaries
The set of tools is selected through trial and error. For development, VS Code with Codex and Claude Code are used; for video generation, Kling and Eleven Labs; for creating landing pages, Lovable. The choice is driven by the optimal balance of quality and cost per unit of finished material.
There have been no serious errors that would have cost companies dearly. The reason is that AI operates exclusively in tandem with humans: it is a tool for automating and accelerating processes, but control remains with specialists.
The issue of trusting an AI agent with real transactions is addressed through the lens of risk. The acceptable loss limit determines both the amount that can be entrusted to the agent and the level of data access. This is a standard approach, similar to any investment decision.
Multi-Level AI Analytics System
In practice, tasks are distributed among several AI tools based on the principle of "each covers its own area":
- ChatGPT in conjunction with CoinGlass processes data: a screenshot with indicators of open interest, liquidations, and the long/short ratio is sent to the neural network — instead of an hour of manual compilation, a picture of overheated zones and expected liquidations is obtained in 30 seconds.
- Grok, integrated into X, monitors crypto Twitter in real time — early signals and leaks appear there, not in traditional media, providing a head start of a couple of hours to assess credibility.
- Claude is responsible for the strategic direction for the day.
The tools complement each other: Grok provides speed and access to sentiment, ChatGPT handles routine chart analysis, and Claude handles strategy. As a result, analysis takes not a couple of hours a day, but 15 minutes.
My conclusion as an analyst: the current stage of AI implementation in the crypto industry resembles the era of the first calculators — the tool radically accelerates routine tasks but does not eliminate the need for a qualified specialist. A real breakthrough will occur when AI begins not just to process data, but to generate fundamentally new trading strategies inaccessible to human analysis.
