Robinhood Chain has burst into the top 5 DEXs: $3.1 billion in a week and ambitions of an L2 giant

In just seven days since the launch of its public mainnet, the L2 solution Robinhood Chain has demonstrated impressive results, processing $3.1 billion in total volume on decentralized exchanges. The network instantly entered the top five in DEX segment activity, indicating high demand and a well-executed marketing strategy.

As of July 13, the protocol ranks third in daily DEX turnover with $808 million, trailing only giants like Solana and BNB Chain. This is particularly noteworthy given that Solana has long been established as one of the most active networks for DeFi, while BNB Chain is backed by the Binance ecosystem.

Bernstein analysts note that approximately 65,000 users already hold $300 million in stablecoins and $13 million in tokenized stocks on the network. The total value locked (TVL) in Robinhood Chain's DeFi protocols has exceeded $100 million, a solid figure for a network that has been operational for less than two weeks.

Speculative Start and Liquidity Inflow

Characteristically, trading activity in the first week was predominantly speculative in nature. The main turnover was driven by meme coins, but subsequently, liquidity began to flow in from more conservative crypto traders. This is a typical pattern for new L2 networks: first comes a wave of hype and quick money, followed by stabilization and an influx of institutional capital.

Robinhood Chain is built on Arbitrum and is positioned as an Ethereum second-layer solution focused on financial services and real-world assets (RWA). Major platforms such as Uniswap, Morpho, Lighter, Chainlink, and BitGo have already been integrated into the ecosystem. This gives the network a significant advantage in terms of liquidity and user trust.

Robinhood Stock: Bullish Sentiment

Against the backdrop of the blockchain's success, Robinhood shares (HOOD) are trading at $110, while analysts maintain a positive rating with a target price of $130. It is worth recalling that in June, the company's management changed its governance structure and reduced its workforce by 10%, which was likely aimed at optimizing resources ahead of the L2 solution launch.

My comment: Robinhood Chain demonstrates that integrating traditional financial instruments with DeFi could become a key growth driver. The network's success confirms that users are willing to pay for convenience and access to tokenized assets, especially when backed by reliable infrastructure. However, it is worth remembering that the first weeks are always a period of hype, and the network's long-term sustainability will depend on its ability to retain liquidity and attract real projects, not just speculators.
