YouTube tightens monetization rules for AI-generated content: a blow to "content farms"

Who will win the AI race_ YouTube Music, Deezer, Spotify or Amazon (1)

YouTube is introducing new restrictions on monetization for videos created using artificial intelligence but with low quality. This is a direct response to the growing problem of "content farms"—channels that churn out dozens of similar videos aimed solely at inflating views and collecting advertising revenue.

Not all AI projects fall under these restrictions, only those that offer no value to the viewer: template plots, emotionally manipulative videos, and content generated on the principle of "just to fill airtime." Using artificial intelligence as a tool is not prohibited, but the platform will strictly crack down on the mass production of low-quality material that dilutes the ecosystem's quality.

What does this mean for the crypto and blockchain community?

For many crypto enthusiasts and analysts, including myself, this is a signal. In recent years, we have seen scammers and creators of "pump-and-dump" schemes actively use AI to generate dozens of fake news, ad inserts, and reviews to manipulate audiences. YouTube's new rules are not only about protecting viewers but also a blow to influencers who profit from empty promises and hype.

It is important to understand: high-quality, analytical content on blockchain, NFTs, or DeFi, created using AI as a tool for data processing or visualization, will remain in the green zone. But if your channel is just a stream of generated texts with images without real value, get ready for reduced income or complete monetization blocking.

My conclusion: The content market is maturing, and YouTube is betting on quality over quantity. For crypto analysts, this is a chance to stand out from the noise, but for "content factories," this is the beginning of the end.
