Cash Cat (CASHCAT) has reclaimed leadership on the Robinhood network amid a strong company report.
The memecoin Cash Cat (CASHCAT) has once again claimed the top spot by market capitalization on the Robinhood Chain network. Over the past 24 hours, the asset has risen by approximately 16%, reclaiming its leadership status, which had previously shifted to the token Pons (PONS) during the July decline of CASHCAT.
The key catalyst was Robinhood's second-quarter earnings report, published on July 29. The company posted record revenue of $1.3 billion, a 32% increase compared to the same period last year. Earnings per share stood at $0.62, while revenue from cryptocurrency transactions reached $100 million.
CEO's Impact on the Market
Traders paid particular attention to the fact that Robinhood CEO Vladimir Tenev displayed the company's app from his phone during the report presentation. Attentive users noticed that CASHCAT appeared in his recent search queries. This instantly triggered a price surge for the asset. Additionally, during the call, Tenev provided detailed insights into Robinhood Chain, emphasizing that the blockchain was created for tokenizing real-world assets, but he also has a fondness for memecoins.
Earlier, on July 1, the launch day of Robinhood Chain, CASHCAT's market capitalization exceeded $200 million. However, over the following two weeks, the token lost about 47.2%, ceding leadership to PONS. Now, the situation has changed dramatically: at the time of analysis, CASHCAT is trading near $0.0469, 16% higher than 24 hours ago.
Trading Activity and Prospects
Despite the volatility, CASHCAT remains the most traded asset on the network. Since its launch, users have executed 1.57 million transactions involving 51,638 unique traders. The total trading volume has reached $890.5 million, with a daily volume of $28.2 million—at least four times higher than its closest competitor PONS ($6.3 million).
However, CASHCAT is still valued approximately 79% below its all-time high of $0.228, set on July 11. The main challenge for the asset now is to sustain demand once the hype surrounding Robinhood's report subsides.
Cryptalist Expert Opinion: CASHCAT's recovery demonstrates the strength of memecoins in the new Robinhood ecosystem. However, the current growth is largely speculative, tied to the CEO's figure. For a sustainable long-term trend, the asset needs to develop real utility; otherwise, a correction is inevitable.
