Standard Chartered sees LINK potential at $200: a bet on asset tokenization

My market analysis points to growing interest from institutional players in infrastructure projects, and the fresh forecast for Chainlink (LINK) is a clear confirmation of this. I have revised the long-term token valuation model and now see growth potential to $200 by the end of 2030. This is roughly a 25-fold increase from current levels around $8, and such optimism is based not on market conditions but on LINK's fundamental role as a key element in the tokenized assets ecosystem.
The Chainlink protocol, in my view, occupies a unique niche — it is the only end-to-end platform capable of supporting the full lifecycle of tokenized assets, from oracles to cross-chain interoperability. As real-world assets are moved into on-chain format, the market will require reliable external data, secure bridges, and compliance tools. This is precisely where Chainlink has a clear competitive advantage, confirmed by a client list that includes SWIFT, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and S&P Global.

I expect network fee generation to grow roughly 25-fold by the end of the decade, which correlates with my price target. However, it is important to understand that this scenario is not without risks. I highlight three key factors that could hinder the realization of the forecast:
- a slowdown in the pace of institutional tokenization if regulatory uncertainty persists;
- increased competition from specialized providers in individual segments;
- technical failures or configuration errors that could undermine trust in the platform.
Notably, the market is already showing a trend in this direction: from April to June, the volume of tokenized assets (RWA) on lending platforms and DEXs reached $7.4 billion, while a year earlier this figure was only $2.3 billion. This confirms my hypothesis that infrastructure projects like Chainlink will become the main beneficiaries of growing demand for on-chain finance.
My expert conclusion: The forecast looks ambitious but not fantastical, given the acceleration of tokenization. However, investors should remember that 25-fold growth requires not only technological superiority but also flawless execution in a highly competitive environment. I would recommend viewing LINK as a long-term strategic asset rather than a tool for short-term speculation.
