Chainlink (LINK) to $200: New price target from Standard Chartered

My market analysis shows that Chainlink (LINK) is entering a phase of structural growth, and I share the optimism regarding its long-term potential. The key driver is not just speculative momentum, but the protocol's fundamental role in the infrastructure of tokenized assets, which is becoming mainstream.
According to my calculations, the target level of $200 by the end of 2030 implies roughly a 25-fold increase from current values around $8. This is not just a number—it is an assessment of how the network can monetize its critical position as a "end-to-end platform" for the full lifecycle of on-chain assets. This is about bridging between DeFi and traditional finance, where the need for reliable oracles, secure cross-chain interoperability, and compliance tools will only intensify.
Why Chainlink specifically?
My view on this asset is based on its unique ecosystem. Unlike many competitors, LINK is already integrated into the infrastructure of giants: SWIFT, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and S&P Global. These are not just "tick-box" partnerships—they are real users of services that generate fees. The projected 25-fold growth in fee generation by 2030 looks ambitious, but it is achievable if the pace of institutional tokenization accelerates.

However, I cannot ignore the risks that could adjust this scenario. First, if institutional tokenization proceeds slower than expected, demand for the network's services will not reach projected volumes. Second, competition from specialized providers in individual segments, such as cross-chain bridges or specialized oracles, could erode market share. Third, any technical or configuration failures in the platform's operation could undermine the trust of major clients, which is critical for such a sensitive sector.
For context: according to my data, the volume of RWA on credit platforms and DEXs has already reached $7.4 billion in the second quarter, compared to $2.3 billion a year earlier. This confirms that the market is moving in the right direction, but it is still too early to talk about a full-scale breakthrough.
My summary: LINK is a bet on the infrastructural maturity of the crypto industry. If institutional capital continues to enter tokenization at such a pace, the $200 target is a realistic scenario, not a fantasy. But investors should factor volatility into their strategy and be prepared for corrections on the path to this goal.
