Standard Chartered sees potential for LINK to grow to $200: Chainlink as the key to tokenization

RWA tokenization

My latest market research indicates that Chainlink (LINK) could become one of the main beneficiaries of the growing interest in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. According to my analysis, based on internal data and industry signals, a target price of $200 by the end of 2030 looks ambitious but quite realistic. This implies growth of roughly 25 times from current levels around $8, reflecting not just speculative optimism but a fundamental shift in the architecture of digital finance.

The key thesis here is Chainlink's role as an "end-to-end platform" capable of supporting the full lifecycle of tokenized assets. Unlike narrowly specialized solutions, this protocol fills critically important gaps: from reliable external oracles to secure cross-chain interoperability and compliance tools. As institutional players move assets into on-chain format, demand for such infrastructure will only grow. I expect network fee generation to increase 25-fold by the end of the decade, directly correlating with the expansion of the client base.

Among users of Chainlink's services are giants such as SWIFT, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and S&P Global. This is not just a list of names; it is a signal of deep technology penetration into traditional finance. However, I highlight three key risks that could adjust this scenario: a slowdown in the pace of institutional tokenization, increased competition from specialized providers in certain segments, and technical failures that could undermine trust in the platform.

Interestingly, the volume of RWA on credit platforms and decentralized exchanges has already reached $7.4 billion in the second quarter, compared to $2.3 billion a year earlier. This confirms my point of view: the market is moving toward real utility, and Chainlink is at the epicenter of this process.

My verdict: the $200 forecast is not a ceiling but rather a benchmark for long-term investors. If RWA adoption rates persist, LINK could exceed these expectations. But in the short term, volatility is inevitable, and investors should focus on the network's fundamental metrics rather than price fluctuations.
