Strategy returns to Bitcoin accumulation: CEO confirmed plans through the end of the year

Strategy 2025

The largest corporate holder of the first cryptocurrency is once again aiming for aggressive expansion of its portfolio. Strategy CEO Phong Le confirmed that the company will resume Bitcoin purchases before the end of the current year, concluding a phase of temporary pause. This statement was made during a recent interview, where the firm's head outlined clear contours of the further strategy.

The key signal is the scale of the imbalance between acquisition and sale of the asset. Since January, Strategy has increased its reserve by 175,000 BTC, while the volume of sales amounted to only about 7,000 BTC. Thus, the ratio of purchases to sales reaches approximately 25 to 1, which underscores the long-term bullish sentiment of the management. Such dynamics demonstrate not just holding positions, but systematic accumulation, despite market volatility.

It is important to note that even minor sales in this context are not a sign of a strategy reversal, but rather a tactical move to manage liquidity or tax obligations. Phong Le emphasized that the company views Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset, not as a tool for short-term speculation. This approach strengthens the institutional status of the cryptocurrency and serves as a benchmark for other public corporations.

The resumption of Strategy's purchasing activity will be an important catalyst for the market, especially in conditions where institutional demand remains a key driver of growth. If the company maintains its current pace, its total holdings could exceed 500,000 BTC by the end of the year, which will intensify the supply deficit amid limited issuance.

My analysis: Strategy's strategy is not just an investment, but a macroeconomic bet on the devaluation of fiat currencies. Such discipline in accumulation, backed by the CEO's public commitments, creates a powerful psychological effect for retail and institutional investors. In the coming quarters, we will likely see other companies follow this example, which could trigger a new wave of corporate demand for Bitcoin.
