Strategy returns to Bitcoin accumulation: CEO reveals company's plans

Strategy 2025

The largest corporate holder of bitcoin is once again reaffirming its long-term accumulation strategy. In an interview with Fox Business, Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that the company plans to resume active purchases of the first cryptocurrency before the end of this year. This statement dispels investor doubts about a possible pause in the implementation of the ambitious bitcoin program.

In my assessment, the key signal here is the scale of the imbalance between purchases and sales. Le emphasized that the volume of acquisitions is "roughly 25 times greater" than sales: since January, Strategy has added 175,000 BTC to its reserve, while sales amounted to only about 7,000 BTC. This ratio demonstrates not just holding positions, but aggressive expansion of its share in the asset, despite market volatility.

Notably, the company continues to use operating cash flow and raised capital to grow its cryptocurrency portfolio, strengthening its status as an institutional "whale." Currently, Strategy's total holdings exceed 470,000 BTC, making it one of the most influential players in the digital asset market.

From my perspective, the return to purchases in the fourth quarter is not just a tactical move, but a clear signal to the market that Strategy's management remains confident in bitcoin's long-term trajectory. At a time when many institutional players are being cautious, such a stance could act as a catalyst for renewed bullish momentum. However, it is worth considering that such large-scale purchases often exert short-term pressure on liquidity, so traders should closely monitor transaction volumes on exchanges.
