HTX in July: TradFi expansion, record volumes, and new horizons

Amid rapidly shifting market narratives, investors are increasingly seeking platforms that offer not only broad asset distribution but also high capital efficiency. The "user first" criterion is becoming decisive when choosing a trading venue, and the July report from HTX clearly demonstrates how this principle is being put into practice.

Explosive Growth in the TradFi Segment

The key driver of July was the expansion of the traditional finance (TradFi) zone. The platform launched 56 new assets, including 51 popular stock contracts. Listings were focused on the four most in-demand sectors: commodities, precious metals, AI chips, and memory. The spotlight was on semiconductor industry giants such as SK Hynix, Micron Technology, and SanDisk.

HTX now supports 170 TradFi assets, covering individual US stocks, ETFs, and Pre-IPO offerings, and confidently maintains its leadership in coverage of US securities. Users gained the ability to trade key global assets in a single window, without needing to switch between platforms.

This strategy delivered impressive results: the daily trading volume in the TradFi zone by the end of July reached an all-time high, increasing more than 10-fold compared to the June daily average. The total TradFi trading volume amounted to approximately $2.5 billion.

Automation and Copy Trading: Steady Growth

Despite pressure on the crypto market, two automated trading segments on HTX demonstrated steady growth. Copy trading volume surged by 184%, trading volume through futures bots increased by 9%, and the average daily value of positions rose by 7%. The development of the trader ecosystem, optimization of rankings, and attraction of quality talent expanded the pool of strategies, boosting both profitability and user trust.

Earn, Lending, and New Mechanisms

Capital efficiency remains the top priority for long-term holders. In July, nearly 28,000 users participated in HTX Earn, with total subscription volume exceeding $290 million. Stablecoins remained the most popular choice among clients. Flexible products for USDT, USDD, and USDC attracted over 20,000 participants with subscription volumes of around $250 million. For Prime 5 and above clients, the BTC VIP Flexible Earn product was launched with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 1%.

Lending services introduced innovative mechanisms, including an on-chain TRX energy arbitrage feature in the "Collateral Swap" service. For popular assets such as XAUT, HYPE, ONDO, and AAVE, limited-time low-interest loans were offered, further reducing financing costs for holders.

Events and Ecosystem

The FIFA 2026 World Cup became the most popular event of July. HTX launched a prediction campaign with a total prize pool of 500,000 USDT, attracting nearly 13,000 registered participants who made over 180,000 predictions. This drove trading volumes approaching $170 million. Additionally, an exclusive VIP tour to the quarterfinals was organized for SVIP clients.

The Genesis Hackathon, organized jointly with HTX DAO and B.AI, concluded successfully, attracting more than 200 developer teams in the AI and Web3 space. The first round of the "Trade and Earn" event for TradFi exceeded a trading volume of 63 million USDT, and users received fee rebates totaling over 1.8 billion HTX.

My Perspective

HTX is confidently moving toward its 13th anniversary, demonstrating not just survival but active expansion into adjacent areas. The integration of TradFi assets is not merely a trend but a strategic response to the market's demand for universal platforms. In the coming quarters, we will likely see further strengthening of this direction, as well as new mechanisms that will blur the boundaries between traditional and digital finance. This makes HTX one of the key players whose development is worth watching closely.
