Yet, even if that is the case, the choice of location and timing for the searches is hardly coincidental.
A New Era: Transition Period Until 2027
Let me remind you that the law "On Digital Currency and Digital Rights" takes effect after September 1. The market has been given a transition period until July 1, 2027, to legalize and obtain the necessary licenses. However, the current actions of the security forces are an unambiguous message: no one will wait for the end of the transition period. In essence, we are witnessing a preventive clearing of the field before the introduction of strict regulation.
Ageev aptly notes that in this way, the authorities are showing: "you can no longer work like this." This is not just an inspection, but a show of force. Market participants who hoped to stay in the shadows until the last moment now risk becoming not only witnesses but also subjects of proceedings. The only question is how harsh the enforcement practice will be and whether the remaining players will manage to adapt to the new realities, where every transaction will be under the state's watchful eye.
