The market for tokenized stocks has exploded: the number of holders has doubled in a month.

The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization sector is demonstrating an unprecedented surge in activity. Over the past 30 days, the number of unique addresses holding tokenized equities has soared by 124%, reaching 1.31 million. This is not merely a correction or seasonal fluctuation—it is a structural shift indicating mass adoption of digital securities by institutional and retail players.
The volume of monthly transfers in this segment has jumped by nearly 180%, totaling an impressive $23.13 billion. At the same time, the number of active addresses has grown by 34.6%—to 572,000—which points to a rise in genuine trading activity rather than simple accumulation of assets in wallets. The total distributed value of digitized securities has increased by 5.9%, reaching $2.38 billion.
Particularly telling is the gap between the growth in the number of holders (+124%) and the growth in value (+5.9%). This suggests that the market is expanding through an influx of new participants with smaller capital volumes, rather than through concentration of funds among major players. Such dynamics are typical of the early stages of a maturing market, when infrastructure becomes more accessible and jurisdictional barriers decrease.
The rise in activity coincides with growing interest in hybrid financial instruments that combine blockchain liquidity with traditional corporate rights. Issuers are increasingly choosing tokenization as a way to raise capital without intermediaries, while investors value transparency and 24/7 settlement speed.
My analysis: The doubling of the number of holders in such a short period is a signal that cannot be ignored. If the current pace persists, by the end of the quarter we could see consolidation at the $3 billion level of total value, and transfer volumes could exceed $30 billion. However, investors should keep in mind volatility: a rapid influx of retail participants often precedes a correction, especially if regulatory uncertainty in leading jurisdictions intensifies.
